Word Recall: instructions and practice

Read the aim of Word Recall, then make your first move. Identify new and previously seen words before losing three lives. Look at what changes after your first action. Read the objective before making your first input. Keep the game area visible while you use its controls.

Included vocabulary and random repeats; a game, not a medical memory assessment.

Practice beyond the first move

Compare the worked example with your own position. Use the reasoning, not an answer copied from a different board. Refer to the controls when needed.

What you need to achieve

Identify new and previously seen words before losing three lives. Read that aim before choosing your first action. Check the rules when you are unsure.

Making your moves

  1. Read each displayed word.
  2. Choose New word or Seen before.
  3. Remember words from this round only.
  4. Three mistakes end the round.

Controls

Click or tap one of the two answer buttons. Keep the playing area visible while using these controls. Use the visible help when you are unsure of the next input.

Put the rules into context

PLANT seen earlier in the same round requires Seen before. Compare this with the rule that governs the move. Read the matching step again.

One detail worth checking

A word from an earlier round does not count as seen now. A different version of the game may use a different rule. Watch the feedback after an action. A message can explain whether the input was accepted or whether a rule needs attention.
